Ya know, with all the free time I have this week, you would have thought I'd spend a lot of it here.

Seriously though. I'm just not into stuff here. Drama (of course) and a lot of catty people. There are some awesome peeps out there, just the majority aren't.



Tonight going to a concert with a girl from my choir. Should be fun!

Sometimes I hate facebook. Not for the rather stupid things I see daily, but for the shit news I see every so often.

If I had half a brain I'd give him my thoughts on that one. But as I am the "ex", I won't. Instead I shall vent about it here. For those unaware, he was my high school sweetheart and we are still good friends. After some major personal issues occurred we broke up. Over time as adults, we have become great friends.*



I get that she is the mother to his child, but she called the damn cops on him when he took his son to his house to keep him safe from her when she was drunk and hitting people. She is bat-shit crazy. She stalked me in high school after Andrew and I broke up, just to make sure I wasn't going to go back to him. Not to mention, he has expressed how he doesn't love her anymore. How he never did.



Being with someone you don't love for the sake of a child is shit. Especially when she is bat-shit crazy.



The other bad news? (yes there is more)

A good friend of mine, Ozzy, is in the hospital. They don't know what is wrong and he is there for an overnight stay. I'll give Ian a call later to find out what is going on.



On another note, I've been out of the loop, but from what I've gathered, some bitch is pretending to be dead? Here is what I have to say. "Get some new meds. The ones you have aren't working."



Off to try a scripting tutorial. For ages I scripted by hand in psp. Meaning I would make the tag and have my font effects scripted, but I would just stick the name there and only script the cool font effect. I'm going to try and set it up so I just make the tag, input a list of names, and hit play. It will add the names, effects, and save the tags for me. That way I can keep up with a damn always list.

Tonight was rather eventful in a sad way.



We had just gotten home from shopping and I was inside on the phone and putting groceries away when Sean comes tearing in the house saying something rather jumbled and it just ended up with me following him.



A little girl down the road was outside (in the cold might I add) screaming that she was alone and her Mommy and Daddy were gone. I tried to calm her down, but the neighbor came out and she knew the little girl. She took the little girl inside and when we went back down a bit later to check on her we found out that the mother had left her alone and the father was not aware of it. The father had arrived home and picked up the girl.



But who leaves a little girl that young alone? She had to have been 4 or 5. :(



Just glad she is safe now and she had a safe place to go. We would have taken her if the other neighbor hadn't.

I got fed up with animation shop. So I animated with Photoshop. And did a few tricks there that you just can't do in paintshop.



Apparently the CT didn't know I could use photoshop. Apparently a lot of people don't know I can use photoshop actually.

We have these critical thinking assignments in my communication class. They tend to get annoying but I see the point of them.



Yesterday in Rock and Roll history we had a critical thinking assignment thrown at us. Not something I was expecting.



Which aspect of music draws you in the most? (rhythm, lyrics, melody, imagery, ect.)



Irregardless of if we listen to many types of music, we had to find the one that is the most fitting. And a song we enjoy that shows that aspect the best.



There is no writing portion, instead we have to just play our song in class and tell our choice.



I'm a bit worried...again. xD



I'm going to use Combichrist as my example. Or Grendel...

Haven't decided yet. There is a good Scandy song I like I could use as well. xD

I love the atmosphere I'm in. Especially since Mike and I are doing the student teaching and today we did some "conducting".

So today in Rock and Roll history we had a free day to get to know each other.



The assignment?



Tell the teacher the last song you listened to willingly or played on your own.



Aka. Last song played on your iPod.



Now I have a very large range of music (as it states on my profile) and I swear I scared everyone in my class today.



Last song that I had listened to before stepping into class? "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee.



These poor mid-westerners have never heard reggaeton music until today.



I had a blast. They were a bit confused. Some of them got into it, others not so much.



Glad I didn't have any industrial playing last? o.o

So here is that long entry I hinted at in my last entry.



Life. Life has been going great. Today I turned down another solo in choir for the big Christmas concert that counts as our last performance. I didn't do it because I was shy.



O Holy Night. Also known as "O holy fuck I can't hit that note"



The solo part on that song is a bit out of my voice range. Even if we stretch me, when I was back in full practice with a good range, I couldn't hit that note. I tried. And it didn't end well.



Instead she offered me a second solo part in another song. Carol of the Bells. The same arrangement we used when I sang the solo in high school. I know the part, I know the notes and words.



We are also going to sing in Russian. She feels I'm doing great as a work-study and outright told me that I should really change my major. Instead of being a special education teacher, I should really teach music. Not because it's apparent I love music. But because it's apparent I know what I'm doing.



I pulled out music for us to sing. I didn't pull out plain old Christmas carols, but instead I pulled classical composers and such. Something I know we need to work on for our credit requirements.



We are also doing the Hallelujah Chorus. I'm so happy about that one. Such a beautiful song. Hope we can pull it off.



She offered me a student-teaching position for the summer. I'm tempted to take it. She said I'm one of the few students she has met that knows technical music and vocal study the best. Most music students know music, but no real focus on vocals. That was one thing I have.



It made me proud. She wants to take me out for coffee next week to discuss music for the concert and possibly some spring pieces. :)



Life is good. I found my place.

Choir teacher pulled me aside today after class and asked me what was wrong. I didn't know she could tell. D:



I've been having a bit of depression the past couple of days and apparently she saw it. She told me to not focus on anything with Choir this weekend and have some fun.



My goal for this weekend? Sort through the pile of SA/SSA music I have and pick out the piece the females are going to preform.



I wanted to start feeling it out next week. Guess I'll do that Tuesday instead.



I got one essay done while sitting here at school waiting for the bus. I only have my abstract to do for psychology to do and I'm good on homework. The abstract will be short and simple. No more than 200 words. lol



I get to write about myself! I totally giggled the entire time in class when he was giving us the assignment. Good thing the teacher is awesome.



Speaking of awesome and that teacher. He was demonstrating neurons and how they work. He had this tool that he hooked up and showed in class.



The damn thing was a crude old version of a fucking violet wand. That is one lecture I'm not going to forget ANYTIME soon.



He's an awesome teacher. My communications teacher is pretty awesome. My music teacher is amazing.



Here comes a nice long weekend. Maybe I can get some rest. ♥
